Ninth-grade students will not take their exams in examination centers, as is the case with the BAC, Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said in a Facebook live. According to the minister, the decision was taken after a series of discussions, including with school principals and district directorates. However, students' papers will be checked centrally, writes Europa Libera, cited by IPN.

"Students will take the exams as it has been so far, in the institutions where they study, but we will aim to ensure the presence of outside observers in all schools - following this year's model, on a national scale, not just in eight districts, and of course centralized assessment of all papers", Minister Perciun said, revising an earlier proposal he had also made.

The head of the Leova Education Directorate, Aliona Carafizi, told Europa Libera that the Education Ministry had revised its intention because the costs were too high.

Minister Dan Perciun said that all the details of this year's ninth grade exams will be set out in a regulation, which will be made public in mid-December.
