The second stage of the “Online Education” project is under way. The filming started this week and the project involves about 170 coordinators and approximately 300 teachers, IPN reports.

Project manager Daniela Munca-Aftenev, vice director of the Municipal Education, Youth and Sport Division, said that teachers from all over the country will be involved in the second stage of the project. “The municipal project became a national one as it involves teachers from all over the country. These teachers will work in concert with teams and teachers who took part in the first stage. We learned important lessons at the first stage. Judging by the number of visits, this project is very popular in the Republic of Moldova and outside it too. The goal is to prepare teaching staff for the start of the school year,” said Daniela Munca-Aftenev.

The event involved Mayor General of Chisinau Ion Ceban. “We have thousands of children who now do not have access to education institutions, to a teacher. I refer to persons with special needs. We have localities that have very serious problems as regards the access to high-quality education. Currently, by these platforms, we have “Online Education” and can gain access to the best teachers,” he stated.

Deputy mayor Angela Kutasevich said distance learning was a novelty for the entire education system. “It was stressing for teachers too as they overnight became actors and also scriptwriters even if this is not within their remit. The project is successful,” she stated.

The lessons of the second stage of the project “Online Education” will be broadcast on TV channels so that they will also be accessible to teachers and students without computers or Internet connection.
