Clandestine bread, patisserie and confectionery sections were identified at Megapolis Mall as a result of searches carried out within a criminal case started over illegal entrepreneurial activities on March 3, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau Police Division, the police seized accounting documents showing that the economic entity sold goods to the value of over 10 million lei and drafts. The damage caused to the state budget by tax evasion is yet to be determined.
Officials of the company face fines of 60,000 to 120,000 lei. The firm could be liquidated.
The head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the economic entity will continue work until the court passes judgment and decides whether it will be liquidated or will be only fined.
