The Sângerei District Council upheld the decisions taken in the meeting of November 27, 2019, including the one concerning the election of the head and deputy heads of the district. The notification of the Bălți local office of the State Chancellery, which specifies violations of the legislation when calling the meeting, and regarding the adoption of decisions in that meeting was examined on January 31.
The notification said that the meeting of November 27 was convened in breach of the legal provisions stipulating that the draft normative documents of the local public authorities are made public for consultation at least 15 workdays before the adoption day.
Contacted by IPN for a comment, the head of the Bălți local office of the State Chancellery Vitalie Nogali said the local public administration can reject the notification and uphold the taken decisions or can support the notification and reexamine the situation. “Proceedings will be compiled following the vote in the Council. The decisions will be published in the State Register of Local Documents within ten days. From that moment, the office is to check their legality within 30 days and can go to court,” he explained.
On November 27, Grigore Corcodel was elected head of Sângerei district, while Ion Bîrsanu, Tudor Tutunaru and Iulian Erimei were chosen as deputy heads.
