A new local election to choose the council will be held in Salcia village of Taraclia district on May 19. The date was set by the Central Election Commission, which took note of the notification of the mayor of Salcia commune of Taraclia district regarding the meeting of conditions for the legal dissolution of the Salcia commune council, IPN reports.
The Salcia commune council consists of four councilors and this is less than 1/3 of the nine seats of councilor assigned to this local public administration.
Therefore, the CEC set a new local election to choose the Salcia commune council for May 19.
Also on May 19, new local elections will be held to choose local councils in Cairaclia village of Taraclia district, Chioselia Rusă and Cotovscoe villages in ATU Gagauzia and also to elect the mayor in Târnova commune of Dondușeni district, Bucovăț town of Strășeni district, Sagaidac village of Cimișlia district and Hănăsenii Noi commune of Leova district.
On the same day, there will be held by-elections for mayor in Chioselia Rusă and Cotovscoe villages in ATU Gagauzia and to choose the local council of Cealîc commune of Taraclia district.
