There are subversive groups in Moldova that endanger national security. These are supported by the Russian Federation. Such statements were made in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

Former employee of the Security and Intelligence Service, Colonel Ion Leahu considers these organizations endanger Moldova’s statehood. “We know about the Kremlin’s project “Novorossia”. Even if it met with harsh resistance in Ukraine, Russia didn’t give this project up. The Russian Federation has only black ink for Moldova. It is regrettable when operative services arrest members of such groups, while the courts of law either set them free or impose mild penalties on these,” he stated.

Ghenadie Cosovan, former deputy minister of the interior, considers the situation is rather serious. “We, the police veterans, have sounded the alarm for a period. This is not a joke. There are subversive groups and these are supported by Russia. They endanger the state’s security. The law enforcement agencies should focus on the national security,” he said.

The head of the 1992 War Veterans Association “Tiras-Tighina” Anatol Caraman leveled criticism at the courts of law. “Let’s take the case witnessed in Balti, where the members of such a group were fined by 10,000 lei. The people risked their lives to identify and catch them, while the court only fined these,” he stated.
