The People’s Power Party has nominated its leader Ruslan Codreanu, former acting Chisinau mayor, as its pick for the November 5 mayoral election in the capital.
The party’s board also approved its slate of candidates for the Chisinau City Councils, as well as candidates for suburban mayors.
“We came together to show that we can transform an embezzled and wasted city into a city for everybody. A green city with good roads, big infrastructure projects, kindergartens for children and shelters for stray dogs. Our goal is the development of Chisinau and we have the best candidate to start developing, with the best experience and expertise in city administration”, declares the party.
Ruslan Codreanu served in different positions at the Ministry of Economy and the State Chancellery, before becoming a city councilor and eventually Chisinau’s acting mayor from April 2018 to July 2019.
