The Cabinet on Wednesday appointed the secretary of state of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ruslan Bolbocean as Moldova’s Ambasador to the UK, IPN reports.
In 2016 -2021, Ruslan Bolbocean served as Moldova’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Armenia and Turkmenistan, while in 2015-2021 – as Ambassador to Ukraine.
In the same meeting, the Cabinet accepted the resignation from the post of secretary of state of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration handed in by Ruslan Bolbocean.
Under the law on the diplomatic service, the candidates for ambassador are proposed to the Cabinet by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration after consulting the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration.
