The ruling political class does not respect civil society, representatives of the Civic Forum stated in the program “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

Alexandru Slusari, chairman of the Association “UniAgroProtect”, said the lack of an answer to the demands formulated by the Civic Forum shows that the government has no respect for civil society. “Those who are in power showed once again that they do not care about those who voted for them. That’s why we must continue to protest and as many people as possible should join the protests so as to demand that their rights be respected,” he stated.

Journalist Dmitry Chubashenko noted that the ruling politicians avoid providing an answer because they do not want early parliamentary elections. “The government does not want to concede. One of the demands of the Civic Forum refers to the early elections, but those from power do not want such elections because they are afraid they will lose them,” he stated.

Political analyst Oazu Nantoi also believes that the government does not respect civil society, but considers that it could ultimately give an answer. “We see once again that the minority in our country does not obey the majority. Those from power could provide an answer, but this will be a fake one, aimed at making the protesters stay calm for a period. The Civic Forum is not a team of firefighters. The people must continue to exert pressure on the government. So, they must continue to protest,” he said.

Expert Corneliu Ciurea stated a different opinion. “The demands of the Civic Forum no longer have legal basis. Many of these need to be reformulated or they will have no chance of being satisfied,” he noted.
