The roofs of an annex and a house in Zagarancea village of Ungheni district started to burn after a ten-year-old boy set off a banger. Two rescue and firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the fire destroyed the roof of the annex and 10 square meters of the roof of the house. The firefighters managed to swiftly put out the fire and this didn’t damage things inside the house. No one was hurt.

Rescuers repeatedly call on the people to avoid setting off fireworks, especially near dwellings, so as not to cause fires and to prevent minors from letting off firecrackers.
