Romanian senator Viorel Badea: Voronin Regime should stop existing

The Romanian senator Viorel Badea, vice president of the Commission for Foreign Policy, at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will demand an international investigation into the abuses committed in Chisinau, the daily Replica de Constanta says on its website, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “The Voronin regime should stop existing,” the Romanian senator said. Viorel Badea, who is a representative of the Romanian community, considers that the recounting of votes cannot change the situation in Moldova. He said he would ask that the PACE conduct an international investigation into the abuses committed by the Chisinau authorities as a result of which one young man died and over 160 participants in last week’s protests were arrested.
