Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta will make a visit to Chisinau, in the following ten days, in response to an invitation by Premier Vlad Filat. This is the agreement the two settled upon on Tuesday, June 3, during a video conference, reports Info-Prim Neo. Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat greeted the organization of the first reunion of the mixed Commission for European integration between Moldova and Romania. Vlad Filat stated that the achievement of a liberalized visa regime is one of the main objectives of the Moldovan Government. “We managed to overcome the first stage of the action Plan for the liberalization of the visa regime, and the next objective is to manage the integrated administration of the state borders, which we must do together”, noted the Premier. Romanian Premier Victor Ponta, in turn, mentioned that at his Government’s meeting on Wednesday several documents that concern collaboration between Moldova and Romania will be discussed, especially those dealing with the economic sector; these will then be countersigned during his visit to Chisinau. The Premier added that Moldova should learn from Romania’s success, and avoid its mistakes in the European integration process. One of the subjects to be discussed during the visit to Chisinau is the admission of Moldovan youth to studies in Romania. Another subject that concerns collaboration in the energetic sector is also to be discussed. Victor Ponta said that energetic interconnection is an important topic on the agenda of Moldo-Romanian talks, and there is a strong desire to apply everything that until now was referred to as good intentions.
