The Republic of Moldova becomes increasingly attractive to Romanian investors, the executive president of the Association of Romanian Investors in Moldova Dan Nuțiu stated in a news conference in which the Business Barometer in the Republic of Moldova was presented, IPN reports.
“At the moment, at least the investors from Romania with which we keep directly in touch are increasingly interested in the market of the Republic of Moldova. I can say that since the Association was launched, we haven’t had so many requests to join the Association from new companies that come to the Republic of Moldova and this tendency is increasingly accentuated by the expressed interest,” said Dan Nuțiu.
He welcomed the presence in the conference room of Clementina Ion, Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau, noting that she stands by every time and makes a valuable contribution to what the Association does.
The president of the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry Emmanuel Skoulios told the same news conference that the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova becomes increasingly attractive to businesspeople from outside the country and the indicators included in the second Business Barometer in the Republic of Moldova are gladdening and can be used as an argument to persuade more investors.
“Evidently, the results of the first poll were as they were. Today we are here to present the results of the second poll and we see that the tendency is positive even if the many indicators of the barometer are by far not green as regards human resources or inflation and the rise in prices. However, we see many positive tendencies. We are on the good path. This barometer, this poll shows good resilience of companies in the Republic of Moldova and a wish to work further and to strengthen businesses here,” said Emmanuel Skoulios.
He noted that the major goal of these efforts is to attract foreign investors to the Republic of Moldova. “These are positive signals we transmit to the new potential investors. On July 4, we will travel to Bucharest, where the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce, together with the France-Romania Chamber of Commerce, will stage a module within the Franco-Romanian Economic Forum and the module will be attended by Mister Minister of Economy Dumitru Alaiba. The purpose of this event is to attract those investors that are present on the market in Romania to the Republic of Moldova,” said Emmanuel Skoulios.
The second Business Barometer in the Republic of Moldova was produced to diagnose the investment climate and the investment potential of the country. The Association of Romanian Investors in Moldova and the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Tiraspol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, created an information tool accessible to the authorities, potential investors and the general public. The initiative was co-financed by the European Union through its Confidence Building Program that is implemented by UNDP Moldova.
The news conference entitled “Business Barometer in the Republic of Moldova” was staged within the framework of the project “Double integration by cooperation and informing”, which is implemented by IPN News Agency with the assistance of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova of the Government of Romania.
