The Romanian Embassy in Chisinau hosts an art exhibition by Eleonora Romanescu, on the occasion of her 80th birthday. The exhibition was inaugurated Friday, November 24, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Ambassador of Romania in the Republic of Moldova, HE Filip Teodorescu, has said that Eleonora Romanescu is the “the First Lady of the Moldovan painting”, due to her use of unusual colors and profoundness. The ambassador presented the painter a Diploma of Excellency to express gratitude for her contribution to the Arts and Romanian spirituality.
Eleonora Romanescu showed satisfaction with the fact that her paintings are being exhibited at the Romanian Embassy on the eve of the greatest Romanian holiday – the Union Day (The National Day of Romania). She said that she always sought to find ways to express herself that would describe her feelings best. Mrs. Romanescu also underlined that the Arts keep one’s soul elevated.
Special guests at the exhibition emphasized that Eleonora Romanescu is a master of color, which resides in her inner essence. Her paintings can be found in collections in Iraq, Japan, Mongolia, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Canada, and the USA. Hence, traveling around the world, these paintings share a little piece of Moldova’s spirit.
