“The Republic of Moldova is, if we speak about the Eastern Partnership, in the center of the Romanian preoccupations and there are good signs that the reforms go on. Surely, there is yet a lot to be done, but there are improvements that make us confident that the Republic of Moldova really wants to accentuate and to consolidate the European course,” President of Romania Klaus Iohannis sated for the press on the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership Summit, IPN reports.
The official said that Romania helps the Republic of Moldova at multiple levels, by different development programs, by cooperation. He noted the important financial support provided by Romania to Moldova.
“Our assistance is not something we plan to offer in the future. We provide practically, concretely and institutionally and not for several days, but for several years. And we are firmly determined to continue on this path,” stated Klaus Iohhannis.
The Eastern Partnership Summit was held in Brussels on November 24.
