Romania to help Moldova to make way to European market

Romania is available to support the agro-industrial area of the Republic of Moldova in its efforts to make a way to the European market, the head of marketing policies within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Rural development of Romania, Daniela Lica declared at the seminar “New collaboration conditions between agro-industrial complexes of the Republic of Moldova and Romania in the context of European Union Integration”. The seminar took place at the Exhibition Complex “Romexpo” from Bucharest, within the Economy Week of the Republic of Moldova in Romania. According to a press release of IEC “Moldexpo”, the issues discussed at the seminar based on the cooperation between the representatives of agricultural area of the both countries under the conditions of changing the legislation related to the agricultural area of Romania due to the further integration in EU. The chairman of the National Federation of Farmers of the Republic of Moldova, Vasile Marzenco, declared at the seminar that the Moldovan farmers see Romania as a bridge to EU. “We covered a tough road in order to have the possibility to join EU and we are ready to offer all the necessary support in this area to the colleagues from Moldova”, the inspectorate head within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development of Romania, Cornel Dicu answered. Within the seminar, the agro-industrial Agency “Moldova-Vin” presented the catalogue “100 & 1 best wine -2006”. Also other topics of common interest were discussed, especially the Moldovan farmers were interested in the subventions their colleagues from Romania benefit of”. The Moldovan part expressed its availability to overtake the experience of their Romanian colleagues regarding submitting projects to EU. The goal of the seminar was also to inform the Romanian public opinion about the requests of Moldovans of turning to good account the Fund, of 40 million USD, allocated to Romania by EU, destined for the development of the cross-border collaboration with the neighbor country, of which ¾ are planned for the development of the relationships with the Republic of Moldova. The Moldovan Economy Week in Romania takes place during June 12-17, 2006.
