Romania extradites alleged assassin

A citizen of the Republic of Moldova, internationally wanted for two years for committing a murder, was arrested by the Romanian police and extradited, on 1 August, to the Moldovan authorities. The extradition procedure took place at the cross-border point Cahul-Oancea. According to the MAI Press center, the man aged 59, inhabitant of the village Cenac, Cimislia, is suspected of murdering a residentof the capital. On 6 July 2004, the man, together with two comrades, drunk too much and started a fight. Later, two of them beat with bestiality the third one, who died due to suffered traumas. Shortly the police identified one of the suspects, and the second one disappeared. Two years later the policemen of Galati identified the supposed killer, who was involved in farming works in the Romanian judets. If the court deems them guilty of committing the crime, both of them risk life imprisonment or 25 years imprisonment.
