The works to put up lighting poles on the section of Dacia Blvd between the City’s Gates and the airport will start this weekend, when 130 poles that are 11 meters in height and two arms for ensuring the lighting of both traffic directions reach Chisinau, IPN reports.
Acting head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Igor Gamretski said the works to set up the underground networks for supplying the lighting system were 99% performed. More money will be needed for restoring the lawn damaged when digging the foundation.
The lighting network of about 6.5 km will be located at the middle of the road. The technical project to modernize the lighting system on Dacia Blvd was worked out by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction. The works are executed by the Chisinau City Hall. The cost of the project is about 27 million lei. The money was planned in the 2014 municipal budget.
