A number of streets will be closed for vehicle traffic in Chisinau in connection with Victory Day and Europe Day festivities on May 9.
The General Police Inspectorate announced that the Great National Assembly Square will be closed all day starting 9:00 a.m.
Beginning on 9:30 a.m., vehicle traffic will be temporarily restricted on Ștefan cel Mare Blvd, the streets Bănulescu-Bodoni, Mateevici, and Alecsandri, the roundabout near Gaudeamus Theater, and Ismail Street.
From 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Kogălniceanu Street will be closed between the streets Armenească and Ismail. Also, Tighina Street, the stretch between the streets București and Kogălniceanu; and Lev Tolstoi Street, between Ismail and București.
Multiple patrol units will be deployed to direct and reroute traffic during festivities to avoid congestions.
