The Our Party filed the documents concerning the nomination of Renato Usatyi as a candidate for office of President of Moldova to the Central Election Commission and also the documents for constituting the initiative group for collecting signatures in support of the candidate for President, IPN reports.
After the presentation of the documents, Renato Usatyi said he had jitters as these are the first presidential elections in which he aims to take part and he will not allow anyone to belittle the party he manages. “I hope the election campaign will be clean and I hope we will have candidates who, regardless of the political affiliation, will respect each other,” stated the politician.
The initiative groups for collecting 15,000 signatures in support of applicants who want to run for President can be registered starting with September 1.
