RM leadership and mass media to meet with delegation of RM-EU Cooperation Committee

An ad-hoc delegation of the European Parliament within RM-EU Cooperation Committee (CCP) pays a visit to Moldova on June 27-30. The visit includes meetings with officials and leadership of Chisinau, as well as with the representatives of the civil society.
On Tuesday evening, June 27, the meeting with the representatives of certain mass media organizations is programmed. Among them are the Independent Journalism Center, Independent Press Association, Association “Juristii pentru drepturile omului” (Journalists for Human Rights) and Journalistic Investigation Center.
On Thursday, June 28, in the morning, the delegation’s members will meet the speaker Marian Lupu, as well as the deputies Victor Stepaniuc, CCP RM-EU co-chairman Iurie Rosca, the Parliament’s vice-chairman, Dumitru Braghis, member of the Juridical Commission for Appointments and Immunities, who are the members of the Board of the RM-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
The European officials will have separate discussions with the Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev and President Vladimir Voronin. Later they will meet with Andrei Stratan, deputy prime minister, and foreign minister, and Vasile Sova, minister of Reintegration.
The same day they will meet with the head of OSCE Mission to RM, William Hill. Then the delegation will meet with the representatives of certain non-governmental organizations - Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, the League for Protecting Human Rights, Transparency International, Association for Participative Democracy, European Integration Association, and the Committee for Defending Human and Professional Dignity.
On Wednesday evening, the delegation will pay a visit to the Human Traffic Victims Rehabilitation Center.
On Thursday, 29 June, they will meet individually with the Ministers of Justice, Internal Affairs, Education and Youth and Economy and Commerce. The delegation also will meet with Nikolai Reabov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Chisinau. Then CCP co-chairmen Marianne Mikko and Victor Stepaniuc will hold a press conference.
The agenda of the visit includes the visit of the delegation to Transnistria, where they will meet with the separatist leaders of Tiraspol.
On June 30, the delegation members will meet with Ferenc Banffy, the head of EU Border assistance Mission.
