Moldovagaz announced that it completed the purchase of the necessary volumes of natural gas for the entire heating season (October 2024-March 2025) for the right bank of the Nistru, IPN reports.
The procurement procedure was initiated in July and concluded on December 12. Overall, natural gas was purchased in the amount of 7,952,196 MWh or 747.9 million cubic meters.
The average purchase price is €47.88 per MWh, which is €509.15 per 1,000 cubic meters or 9,842.89 lei per 1,000 cubic meters, with delivery to the Virtual Trading Point of the Republic of Moldova.
The basic volume of gas, of 7,443,773 MWh (700.1 million cubic meters) was bought on the trading platform of the Romanian Commodities Exchange between August and December 2024.
The rest of the volumes are purchased from JSC Energocom, based on the Government decision on the approval of the natural gas storage obligation.
