Representatives of local public administration of Transnitria condemns the affirmations of Russian ambassador in Chisinau

Representatives of local public administration of Transnistria condemn recent statements of Russian ambassador in Chisinau Nikolai Reabov and of leader of Social Political Movement Ravnopravie Valeri Climenco regarding the situation of din Transnistria. Officials of the administration of district Dubasari organized on Monday, 27 March, a press conference in Chisinau where they expressed their disapproval with the affirmations made by those two mentioned persons. In their statement they talk about the fact that the Russian ambassador „does not see” the real situation on the left of Dniestre, and Russia’s attempts to keep its influence under military occupation of eastern districts of Moldova represents the weakness of its position and the fact that Kremlin left the prisoner of the nostalgic-imperial mentality. „Current situation, when the regime of Tiraspol blocks deliberately the activity of enterprises and businessmen of Transnistria, confirms the fact that the whole population of Transnistria is a prisoner of this hostile politics of Kremlin”, according to the statement. The undersigned required to leadership of Moldova „more competence, solidity and political will in the activity of de-criminalizing and demilitarization activity” of eastern districts. They also required to parliament of Moldova to implement the Memorandum of 8 May 1997, and OSCE Mission in Moldova to monitor respect of human rights in this zone and „to inform objectively the international community about the committed crimes by the current regime of Tiraspol”. During the conference, the leader of district Dubasari, Grigori Policinschii, and mayors of many villages mentioned that situation of farmers of the village Dorotcaia is unchanged. They cannot work their plots because of interdictions of administration of Tiraspol. In this context, Policinschii said that farmers of this zone would not accept to rent their plots from the Tiraspol administration, as Igor Smirnov proposed. He considers the decree of the latter one, where it is proposed to inhabitants to conclude rent contracts of plots, as blackmailing. We cannot rent from somebody our plots, Policinschii concluded. Another statement, signed by over 200 inhabitants of Dniestre, condemn the position of Valeri Climenco towards the situation of the area, leader of Movement Ravnopravie, who criticized the policy of Chisinau regarding the Transnistrian conflict and announced that the movement he leads would collect humanitarian assistance for Transnistrians. Nikolai Reabov launched many critics addressed to authorities of Chisinau, during a press conference held on Monday, 20 March in Chisinau. Russian diplomat noted that the reason invoked by Moldova regarding the new customs regime as pretext, in fact „these are deliberate actions”.
