The Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, His Holiness Vladimir, together with representatives of the Church Synod, will have a meeting with President Nicolae Timofti the coming days, priest Vitalie Sincari, of the Chisinau church “Saint Gheorghe”, told the press on Monday, quoted by IPN.
Representatives of the Movement for the Defense of Orthodoxy cancelled a news conference scheduled for today, where they intended to speak about the relationship between the Moldovan Church and the authorities. Vitalie Sincari said they want to see the reaction of the head of state first and will then pronounce publicly on the issue.

The representatives of the Movement for the Defense of Orthodoxy no longer insist on removing the phrase ‘sexual orientation’ from the national legislation. They demand yet adopting legislative amendments to ban the propagation of homosexuality.
