Renting rooms in Chisinau, as related to the price of the real estate, is the highest amongst the world's cities. According to the Philippine publication “The Global Property Guide”, the gross rental yield reaches 14.17% in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Gross Rental Yield is calculating by dividing the annual amount of the rent to the cost of the real estate, multiplied by 100%, and is used by economists to find whether the rent prices are swollen or not. Chisinau is followed by Cairo, Egypt's capital, where this index is 12% and by Indonesia's capital Jakarta – 11.27%. Macedonia's capital Skopje is the sixth in the first ten with 10.11%.
According to the research carried out by “The Global Property Guide”, the rent of the real estate related to its cost is large especially in the emerging economies. In Andora (69th place) it is 2.19%, and Greece's Crete (67 ) – 2.71%, in Rome (64) it is 3,62%.
The Gross Rental Yield is treated by economists as a bubble which can burst any time since its growth is not based on logical reasons, but rather psychological.
