Former Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu controls 13 MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), said the leader of Our Party Renato Usatyi. According to the politician, Andrei Spînu does not form part of the Recean Cabinet owing to the dubious schemes applied at Termoelectrica. So as not to divide the PAS parliamentary group, Andrei Spînu was named secretary of the Presidential Office, IPN reports.

Renato Usatyi noted that 13 of the 63 PAS MPs are controlled by Andrei Spînu and the dissentions inside the party could make the ex-Deputy Premier leave the party without a majority in Parliament. The PAS government will not complete its duties and the scenario of snap parliamentary elections is very realistic.

“Andrei Spînu left the Ministry after I made disclosures about Termoelectrica and the schemes organized by him. Spînu was named guard at the Presidential Palace so that those 13 MPs he controls do not leave. As he was one of the key figures, most of the candidates on the list after Number 30 were proposed by him. The PAS didn’t know that it will obtain such a score and Spînu was allowed to deal with the lists. The PAS will definitely not complete its four-year mandate. Maia Sandu does not have any chance to win the presidential elections primarily owing to the PAS. She is impacted by the incompetence of a number of persons and by personal ambitions. All polls show that Maia Sandu should have negotiated the price of gas with the Russians. She should have detached the Premier at least. They sent Spînu who was lied to as he doesn’t even know Russian well,” Renato Usatyi stated in the program “Résumé with Ileana Pîrgaru” on RliveTV channel.

The politician also said that Sergiu Litvinenco is not part of the Recean Cabinet because the PAS government will soon receive a serious blow from the ECHR that will rule in favor of the suspended prosecutor general Alexandr Stoianoglo.

“In the case of Sergiu Litvinenco, it was a move in anticipation of the blow as the ECHR will clearly say that Alexandr Stoianoglo should be prosecutor general and he will be reinstated. This would have been one more failure and blow for Litvinenco,” said the leader of Our Party.

The Cabinet led by Dorin Recean was voted in on February 16. Only three ministers of the Gavrilița Cabinet do not form part of this. These are Andrei Spînu, Sergiu Litivnenco and Dumitru Budianschi, who were replaced by secretaries of state.
