Young people have the opportunity to apply to municipal entrepreneurial support programs. The Chisinau City Hall launched the enrollment in the municipal entrepreneurial education program Start-up for Youth and Migrants and the municipal business incubator, IPN reports.

Applications to take part in the municipal entrepreneurial education program can be submitted until December 31 this year. The entrepreneurial training sessions will provide the opportunity for young people to develop their entrepreneurial thinking, skills and knowledge necessary for the successful initiation and management of their own businesses, the Chisinau City Hall said in a press release.

The pilot program Start-up for the Youth and Migrants is designed to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people and migrants in Chisinau by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and supporting the creation of new jobs. Within the financing component of the program, with a contribution of only 30%, young people and migrants could obtain nonreimbursable financial support of up to 200,000 lei for the implementation of their own investment projects. Applications will be accepted until June 7.

The municipal business incubator will ensure the creation of the necessary infrastructure to develop businesses in cultural, creative industries and the information technology sector by providing physical and virtual spaces for activity, offering logistical and technical support for young people at the stage of initiating a start-up, as well as by organizing training and mentoring courses, the municipality specified.

Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban expressed his confidence that the entrepreneurial development initiatives will be successful and this will be demonstrated in the near future, through the interest and involvement of young people eager to realize their potential and apply the accumulated knowledge.

To support young people to start their own businesses, the Chisinau City Hall allocated about 18 million lei for this year.
