Red alert in connection with the spread of SARS-CoV-2 was issued for 35 territorial-administrative units. Only Hâncești, Leova and Soroca districts are under orange alert, the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission specified, being quoted by IPN.
The Commission decided that the General Border Police Inspectorate and the Custom Service, by a common order, will decide the working regime of the state border crossing points, taking into account the development of the epidemiological situation in the country and outside it. If need be, they will decide to close or reopen state border crossing points.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the number of persons infected with the novel coronavirus rose to 62,600. The death toll from COVID-19 stands at 1,478.
