The recipients of social welfare from September 1 can collect the money from Moldova’s Post Office or another payment service provider exactly on the same days as earlier, when the given benefits were paid by Banca de Economii and Banca Sociala, said sources in the National House of Social Insurance, quoted by IPN.
Ecaterina Dvorean, deputy head of the House’s General Social Welfare Division, said the pensions and social allowances can be collected from the local post offices between the first day and the twenties day of the month. If the money is not collected one month, it can be received the next month for two months.
The pensions and state social allowances paid through Moldova’s post office can be collected only at the place of residence. The recipients from rural areas can get the other social benefits at the local post office, while those living in district centers and in the municipalities of Balti and Chisinau – at any post office.
The recipients of social welfare can any time choose another payment service provider. They must only submit an application to the branch of the bank with which the National House of Social Insurance signed a relevant contract (Moldindconbank, Moldova Agroindbank, Victoriabank, EuroCreditBank, Fincombank, Eximbank, Energbank, Comerţbank, and Mobiasbank). The recipients will be issued with a card free of charge.
Currently, the National House of Social Insurance pays different social benefits through payment service providers to about 1 million recipients.
