MP of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists Radu Mudreac said it is hard for him to comment on the accusations made against him as he didn’t familiarize himself with the materials of the criminal case started against him. He noted that no one submitted complaints against him and no one caused damage to the state and taxes of over 1 million lei are annually paid to the state and he therefore does not see what the problem resides in, IPN reports.

Radu Mudreac said tin Parliament, where the acting prosecutor general asked to lift his parliamentary immunity, that as a member of the commission of inquiry into the quarries, he receives all kinds of threats and is told to shut up and to leave the commission. He raised a number of issues concerning the Micăuți quarry that belongs to the former MPs Eugeniu Nikiforchuk and Vladimir Andronache and a criminal case was started against him shortly afterward.

After his speech, Radu Mudreac left the assembly hall, while his group mate Vlad Batrîncea said that Mudreac is to undergo the third heart surgery and the acting prosecutor general will bear responsibility for his state of heath. He proposed that Parliament should consent to searches only, not yet to the MP’s arrest. Radu Mudreac pledged to appear before the investigation bodies when he is summoned.

Sympathizers of the Party of Socialists came together in front of the Parliament Building, accusing the Party of Action and Solidarity of taking political revenge.

Acting prosecutor general Dumitru Robu said in Parliament there are reasonable suspicions that Radu Mudreac in November 2011, as the manager of SRL “Gradioni”, acting together with other persons, signed eight loan agreements to the value of 3.2 million lei with different persons. In November 2014, SRL “Gradioni” signed a loan agreement to the value of 376,000 lei with another person. Also, in November 2014 – October 2015, the company, represented by manager Maia Mudreac, the MP’s wife, signed 17 loan agreements with private individuals, raising 4.7 million lei for building commercial areas on Tighina St in Chisinau. It was determined that the contracts were fictitious.
