PAS MP Radu Marian calls on the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to follow the Parliament’s activity in the hope that the national political class will be changed at the next parliamentary elections

“I think the people will judge us in elections and they already started to form their opinions. For the first time in 2019, people who weren’t suspected of having integrity-related problems entered Parliament. It was the people’s response to the bad quality of Parliament and the things that happened until then,” Radu Marian stated in the public debate “How much and how Parliament worked for the people during spring-summer session?” that was staged by IPN News Agency.

The MP voiced hope that the number of upright MPs in the legislature will grow as a result of snaps parliamentary elections.

“I think the people will again go to snaps parliamentary elections and will clearly show that such things are not tolerated. I hope a lot that the number of upright MPs will rise at least twice so that there are no situations when one cannot form a decent coalition and cannot name a government. I believe the response is in people’s votes and I’m hopeful that the response will be appropriate in the next legislative elections,” noted the MP.

In conclusion, Radu Marian called on the people to follow the political processes in the country in the hope that they will be rebooted. “The message is that we need rebooting and I know that this is said at each election, every year. I’m sure the people really that the solution is to have snaps parliamentary elections as soon as possible,” he stated.

The debate “How much and how Parliament worked for the people during spring-summer session?” was the 145th installment of the series “Developing political culture through public debates” that is supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany.
