Radu Albot has won the sixth Challenger trophy in his career. The 27-year-old Moldovan athlete emerged victorious at the tournament in Shenzhen, China, IPN reports.
In the final, Albot beat Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, World No. 343, by 7-6, 6-7, 6-4. Owing to this victory, Albot won US$10,800.
Radu Albot thus returned to the top 100 tennis players of the world. Now he ranks 86th. 81st was his best position in the ATP rankings.
