Radu Albot reached the second round of the Grand Slam tournament Australian Open. The Moldovan tennis player beat American athlete Michael Mmoh, world No.108, in four sets, IPN reports.
Albot lost the first set 3-6 and then won the next three sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. The match lasted for almost three hours. In the second round, the 29-year-old tennis player plays Spain’s Fernando Verdasco, world No. 28.
Radu Albot is the best Moldovan tennis player in the country’s history. He currently occupies the 98th spot on the ATP rankings.
