Radu Albot for the first time went through a stage at the Grand Slam tournament Roland Garros, IPN reports.
The Moldovan tennis player lost the first two sets 4-6, 0-6 to France’s Gregoire Barrere, who is world No. 196, but then recovered sensationally and won the next three sets 7-5, 6-1, 6-2.
Albot secured an award of about €80,000. In the next round, he meets Bosnian athlete Damir Dzumhur, who ranks 30th in the world.
