Moldova’s top-rated tennis player Radu Albot (ATP #41) has qualified for the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Los Cabos (Mexico), IPN reports.
He defeated in two sets, 6-1, 6-2, the Japanese Taro Daniel (ATP #118). In the quarterfinals, Albot will encounter Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis (ATP #191). If he wins, he will be able to play in the semifinals against the main favorite of the competition, the Italian Fabio Fognini.
Radu Albot is the No. 7 seed in the tournament in Mexico. Guido Pella (#24) or Diego Schwartzman (#27) are also competing.
