Moldova’s Radu Albot reached the 1/8 finals of the ATP tournament of Geneva whose prize money totals €524,340, IPN reports.
Albot, world No. 45, beat Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego, who takes the 73rd spot in the ATP rankings, 7-6, 7-6. The Moldovan tennis player, who is the fifth seed of the competition, in the second round plays Argentina’s Juan Ignacio Londero, world No. 78.
Albot and Londero also met in Liberec in 2015 and Albot then scored a victory.
