Radu Albot lost dramatically in the second round of the Grand Slam tournament of Roland Garros. The Moldovan tennis player was beaten in five sets by Bosnian athlete Damir Dzumhur, World No. 29, IPN reports.
As in the first round, Albot lost the first two sets 3-6, 3-6 and was close to tipping the balance in his favor, but lost by 7-5, 6-1, 5-7. The match lasted for almost four hours. As he qualified for the second round, the Moldovan athlete secured a reward of about €80,000.
Radu Albot is the only Moldovan tennis player who contended in the main competition of all the Grand Slam tournaments.
