Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot started the competition at the ATP tournament in Metz with a victory in doubles. He and Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili beat the pair Jo-Wilfried Tsonga/Ugo Humbert, 5-7, 6-4, 10-8, IPN reports.
In the quarterfinals, Albot and Basilashvili will play against the winners of the encounter between Barrere/Pouille and K.Skupski/N.Skupski.
In singles, Radu Albot meets France’s Pierre-Hugues Herbert, World No. 68, in the evening of September 18.
