Petru Racu is the new player of Petrocub. The 32-year-old fullback signed a three-year-contract with the team trained by Lilian Popescu, IPN reports.
Racu has won three titles in the National Division, two with Sheriff (2017, 2018) and one with Milsami (2014/2015). The last team for which he played was Petrolul, in the second league of Romania. In Moldova, he played for Zimbru and Veris. He also played for five years in Scandinavia, at IFK Norrkoping (Sweden), MyPa (Finland) and Hjorring (Denmark). Racu was also included in the lineup of Moldova’s national football team for 48 matches.
In the European cups, he played 19 games and scored one goal in the qualifying competition of the UEFA Champions League, in the Milsami – Ludogorets encounter that ended by 2-1. With Sheriff, he competed in the Europa League groups.
