Vice director of the Institute of Legal, Political and Sociological Research Victor Juc said he sees nothing surprising in the Party of Socials’ invitation to the bloc ACUM  (NOW) to have discussions on the establishment of cooperation relations. According to hum, any kinds of arrangements are possible after the elections, IPN reports.

“I think the Democratic Party did it right when it proposed opening negotiations immediately after the parliamentary elections. The PSRM, which proposed starting preliminary discussions after the Constitutional Court validates the elections, and this did so, was also right,” Victor Juc stated in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel.

He noted the initiative was presented now not necessarily for forming a majority. The PSRM banked on particular common actions. “They didn’t say it openly, but suggested that they refer to a move to remove the current regime. I consider this is in the interests of the bloc ACUM rather than of the Socialists,” said Victor Juc.

Expert in political sciences Alexandru Solcan noted the bloc ACUM categorically refused to  discuss with the Democratic Party when the latter invited the bloc to talks. In the case of the PSRM’s invitation, they asked to be given time for providing a response. “This means there are a number of viewpoints inside the bloc ACUM and this is not a homogenous mass. It includes two parties and representatives of civil society. Tensions and a series of standpoints will appear,” he stated.

According to Alexandru Solcan, the bloc ACUM will not manage to keep its unity inside the new Parliament and the biggest problem will appear here as it will be very hard to explain the alliance with the Party of Socialists.

The leaders of the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS were invited to the head office of the Party of Socialists on March 12 at 3pm to discuss the establishment of political parliamentary cooperation relations. The invitation was made by the PSRM’s secretary for ideology Ion Ceban in a press briefing on March 11. Later the same day, representatives of ACUM said an answer will be provided in a news conference on March 12, starting at midday.

In the February 24 parliamentary elections, the PSRM won 35 seats of MP.
