The Socialist MPs introduced a bill by which they propose returning to the situation when women retired at 57, while men at 62. According to the proposal, mothers with five and more children will retire at 54. Socialist MP Vladimir Odnostalco provided details about the bill in a press briefing, IPN reports.

Under the bill, the insurance period taken into account when setting the pension will also be modified. Vladimir Odnostalco noted that this proposal is determined by the life expectancy, the demographic situation, the inherited health and social insurance systems that are in a precarious state and the working conditions.

Another bill proposed by the Socialist MPs bans employers from terminating the individual work contract with persons who reached retirement.

The public pension system reform was done in 2016. It was then decided to increase the retirement age in stages, up to 63, both for women and men.
