All the types of allowances for temporary incapacity for work will be calculated based on the insured income obtained during the last 12 months prior to the occurrence of the insured risk. The allowance paid by the employers will represent 100% of the employee’s average pay. These provisions are stipulated in a bill to amend the law on the insurance for accidents at work and professional diseases that was presented by Socialist MPs, IPN reports.
In a news conference, the MPs also prepared a bill to amend the law on mandatory health insurance. This provides that the citizens who receive pensions from another state will be issued with mandatory health insurance policies.
MP Alla Darovannaya said that the salaries of teachers, doctors and other public sector employees can be increased as of July 1 this year. “The budget revenues this year are higher than in 2019. I would like to note that if the budget revenues collection pace is kept, we will be able to raise again the pays of teachers, doctors and other public sector employees. There will also be proposed additional social protection measures for war veterans and members of the families of those killed in battle,” stated the MP.
Alla Darovannaya also announced the launch of negotiations on the agreement on social security between Moldova and Russia. This institutes a new framework of social guarantees for Moldovan migrants who worked or work in Russia.
