The Central Election Commission on September 3 crated the protocol office of international observers responsible for the coordination of the activity of election observation missions at the November 1, 2020 presidential elections, IPN reports.

The office members will be responsible for organizing observers’ meetings, registering accreditation documents with the CEC, issuing observer permits and furnishing the asked materials and information. For the international observers to work properly, briefings, meetings and field trips will be organized for them so that they collect information about the conduct of elections.

Also today, the CEC accredited 21 international observers on behalf of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly for overseeing the upcoming presidential elections.

The period for submitting applications for accrediting persons as observers ends seven days before the election day.
