The organizers of the protests mounted in the center of Chisinau pursue the goal of seizing power and use the people for the purpose, while the government is responsible for the fact that the people took to the streets. Such opinions were stated in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.

Alexandru Cauia, dean of the Faculty of Law of the Moldova Free International University, considers the organizers of the protests on both of the segments not really want the situation in the country to be changed. “They do not really need a revolution. Our people should be aware of what is going on,” he stated.

Roman Chirca, director of the Market Economy Institute, believes there is a danger that the geopolitical course will be thwarted as a result of the protests. “The danger persists, while corruption is the biggest problem that aggravates the state of affairs. The networks of Russian agents are developed in our country. They are ready to support any protest, not yet the European course whose thwarting will have serious consequences,” he said.

Victor Juc, vice director of the Institute of Legal and Political Research of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, said the protests could lead to the dismemberment of the ruling alliance. “The current government gave reasons for protests. The European Union was indulgent towards the Moldovan authorities and these imagined that they can do what they want. In the current conditions, fissures appeared in the ruling alliance and the month of October will be decisive for this alliance,” he stated.
