The Ministry of Education and Research by 2027 aims to ensure that 80% of the educational institutions are adjusted for children with disabilities and children with special educational needs. This is provided in the program to develop inclusive education for 2024-2027 which was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Education Dan Perciun, the framework document sets out the objectives in inclusive education for the next four years. “There are a number of problems that remained unsolved event if the Republic of Moldova achieved special results during the last few years in ensuring access to general educational institutions for all children and in renouncing the segregation of children with special educational needs,” stated the official, noting that the Ministry aims to ensure an inclusive financing mechanisms for children with SENs from kindergartens.
In general, the program to develop inclusive education in the Republic of Moldova for 2024-2027 comes to ensure high-quality inclusive education for all the children and young people so that all the children and students, regardless of the target group, are included in general educational institutions by 2027, while the graduates of this group have access to vocational and higher education and to other forms of education throughout life, having the transition to the labor market ensured.
