The Chisinau City Hall on August 31 stages a number of cultural-artistic events on the occasion of the Our Language Day. At 10am, flowers will be laid at the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great. Afterward, there will be held a performance of music and poetry by Dumitru Matcovschi and Leonida Lari, dedicated to the Romanian language day, on the Classical Writers Alley, IPN reports.
A model that will imitate the façade of the house of poet Dumitru Matcovschi’s parents situated in Vadul Rascov will be set up by the Municipal Library “B. P Hasdeu” in the central garden of Chisinau “Stephan the Great”.
At midday, the International Book Fair will start at the National Library “Vasile Alecsandri”, while at 3pm, there will be opened a contest-exhibition of plastic arts at the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi”.
From 5pm until 11:.50pm, there will be given an Our Language Day concert that will involve the Advahov Brothers’ Orchestra, Alex Calancea Band, Catalin Josan, Natalia Barbu, Guz, Nelly Ciobanu and others. It will take place in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau.
