The director of an auxiliary school for children with disabilities was sentenced to eight years in jail because during a long period of time, being under the influence of alcohol, he physically abused students of the institution. The sentence was passed by the Balti Appeals Court after the first court acquitted him and the prosecutors challenged the decision, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in 2014 the culprit repeatedly hit a boy aged 17. To humiliate this, he often made him fulfill degrading tasks.

A girl aged 17 was also beaten. To humiliate her before her mates, the girl, who was suffering from a viral infection, was forced to eat ten onions. At the beginning of January 2015, the culprit, being under the influence of alcohol, slapped for several times another minor and then pushed this.

The principal was charged with use of torture and inhuman and degrading treatment. Besides being sentenced to jail, he was also banned from teaching for a period of ten years.

The man was arrested right in the courtroom.
