The first-fourth graders could be spared from homework. According to the current framework plan, the homework should be done during at most an hour in the case of first graders, 1.5 hours in the case of second graders and 2 hours in the case of third-fourth graders. At the same time, according to the methodological recommendations for primary education, the first graders should not get homework in the first half of the school year.

In a response to an inquiry made by IPN Agency, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research said that in connection with the modification of the concept of the curriculum, a new methodology for managing homework at the primary stage and at the other stages of education will be worked out. Later, this will be approved by order of the minister of education and will be applied from the first grade.

A working group will be set up to design the given methodology and the methodological recommendations for implementing this document.
