Prices of a number of vegetables decreased

Consumer prices in July fell by 1.0% on average, influenced by the seasonal decline in the prices of food products and the rise in the prices of nonfoods, IPN reports, quoting the National Bureau of Statistics.

The prices of potatoes in July decreased by 33.2%, of peaches, plums, apricots and other pit fruits – by 30.0%, of tomatoes – by 51.0%, of melons and watermelons– by 29.4%, of beet – by 27.2%, of cabbage – by 26.5%, of dry onion – by 25.8%, of carrots – by 22.9%, of sweet pepper – by 18.6%, etc.

But the prices of hen eggs rose by 3.8%, of fresh cucumbers – by 2.6%, of exotic fruits – by 1.5%, of beer by 1.1%.

Among nonfood products, children’s T-shirts grew dearer by 0.9%, swimsuits – by 0.6%, sanitary and hygiene products, sports goods, car parts, bicycles – by 0.5% each, of building materials, stationery, and photo cameras – by 0.3% each, of drugs – by 0.2%.

The price of fuel last month decreased by 0.3%, including of liquefied petroleum gas in cylinders – by 1.2%, while of coal – by 0.9%.

As to the services provided for the population, the average monthly tariffs on tourism abroad increased by 3.0%, on international railway transport – by 2.3%, on air transparent – by 2.8%, in crèches and kindergartens – by 1.0%. The charges for insuring units of transport in July fell by 0.5%.
