President Nicolae Timofti addressed a message on the occasion of Ester to the people, IPN reports.
The head of state wished the Moldovans health, peace and happiness on the occasion of the Resurrection. “In spring we celebrate life and the joy of rebirth. The miracle of regeneration means a new start. One of the most important holydays for the Orthodox Christians – the return to life of Jesus Christ - is approaching. The miracle of rebirth represents the symbol of forgiveness, repentance and of the ascent of souls to light, which inspires faith, hope and love,” reads the President’s message.
Nicolae Timofti also says that the significance of Easter should be confirmed day by day by everyone, by gestures of compassion, charity and solidarity with those around. “Let’s experience together the joy of donating, forgiving and of stepping with confidence towards tomorrow,” he urged, greeting everyone with “Jesus has risen!”
